美國海軍三艘航母同時出現印太地區　美防長推文強調「維持對民主台灣承諾」

印太地區局勢動盪，成為美國與中國角力的戰場。美國國防部長埃斯柏（Mark Esper）15日在官方推特（Twitter）上推文強調，會持續與日本、南韓、紐西蘭、泰國、澳洲和菲律賓等國繼續建立更緊密關係，對「民主台灣（democratic Taiwan）」的承諾不變。

埃斯柏推特發出3則推文，彰顯美國對印太區域的重視，另有一連結是他在《海峽時報》（The Straits Times）的投書。該文章談論美國印太戰略，表示在2019新型冠狀病毒肺炎（COVID-19）與中國挑戰下，美國將致力與區域盟友及合作夥伴建立更緊密安全關係。

他在其中一篇推文表示，「夥伴關係：我們持續與日本、南韓、紐西蘭、泰國、澳洲、菲律賓、東帝汶、巴布亞紐幾內亞、斐濟、東加王國與其他太平洋島國建立更緊密關係，維持對民主台灣承諾。」

美國海軍「羅斯福號」航母（The US Roosevelt）、「尼米茲號」航母（The USS Nimitz）和「雷根號」航母（The USS Ronald Reagan）日前同時出現在印太地區，外界評估意在警告中國。
