讓英國成「歐洲最強海軍國」　啟動「下一代軍艦計畫」造13艘巡防艦

英國首相強森19日（Boris Johnson）增加165億英鎊（約新台幣6251億元）的軍事預算，項目包含再造軍艦計畫，誓言要讓英國成為「歐洲最強的海軍國家」（foremost naval power in Europe）。

英國預計將製造8艘26型巡防艦（Type 26 frigate）、5艘31型巡防艦（ Type 31 frigate）以及2艘航艦補給艦，2艘伊麗莎白女王級航空母艦的補給艦。

軍艦升級項目「下一代軍艦」（next generation of warships）則包含多功能研究船艦（multi-role research vessels）以及32型巡防艦（Type 32 frigate）。

目前英國的軍事預算低於420億英鎊（約新台幣1.6兆元)，未來4年將逐年增加10%到15%的軍事費用，將成立人工智慧中心、將發射英國衛星的太空司令部，並將組織國家網路安全部隊，以進行反恐任務與監控敵國活動。

聲明更指出，英國的國防預算將來到冷戰結束以來的最大規模，創30年來新高。
